It was not random accident
That brought the Holy Spirit there,
This child of God to bring and bear;
It was instead quite Heaven-sent.
And, indeed, all things were meant:
The shepherds and wise men to share
Their legacy of first to care
In that strange town in Orient.
A simple matter, some would say,
Of peasant-folk and what they find
And twist it round to please their mind.
But think instead, if thus you may,
That prophecies can be fulfilled
And what comes forth be what God willed.
